Not just Waterstones
Only a small part of the book about my creative inspiration and butterflies is recorded! A lot of inspiration was gained from visiting 6 bookshops, both in intellectual and book form, recording some publishers and submission methods. It was a visit full of surprises!
Christen Sveaas Art Foundation: PORTAL DE PLATA Selected by Donna Huanca
In this exhibition, artist invites the viewers to enter a multi-sensory environment in which she addresses the entangled relationship between colonialism, displacement and self-creation in art making.
The pictures are creations I found about the body and the color blue. The artworks displays also transforms the gallery architecture into a meditative space of intimacy and reflection.
Stone Lithography
I have created an illustration for my chapter about the kindergarten teacher. It was my “caterpillar period” and I am working on it in stone lithography after I had designed it.
Sites of research: Wabi-Sabi & Yin and Yang & Ouroboros
Some studies on the body of knowledge of Zen culture, Eastern philosophy and symbols. I have recorded some of my ideas and inspirations, and they are combining and colliding to produce something new.
I combined the construction of the butterfly with WABI-SABI, with the middle torso as a spiritual guide, the wings as space-time and the tentacles as a pattern of release.
